Stephen Sharon, born 1977, is an abstract painter, musician and mixed media artist living in North Hero, VT. Stephen started painting 12 years ago when he decided to shift his focus into making visual art. His paintings involve a deep and heavy process of color and application. The movement in Stephens paintings are a dance of color springing across the canvas in directions that are playful and carefully thought out. He's been working with the very popular Foam Brewery company located in Burlington, VT using selected paintings for their beer can labels. Also in 2020, The Vermont Art Council based out of Montpelier named him to be an artist to look out for on their list of 7 up and coming artists and was featured in their magazine release and art show in their gallery in Montpelier. He sells his art work all over the country from coast to coast and all spots in between.
Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts ( Goddard College, Plainfield, VT) 1998-2002
Stephens Artist Statement.
FROM STEPHEN:
"As all of us carry emotions which nurture a deep sense of reality inside our being. What one person sees inside an abstract painting may be something completely different from what another sees. The longer one gets lost inside a painting, the stronger that communication becomes apparent, strengthened and understood between the artist and the viewer. My approaches to paintings are geared towards getting a full, abstract visual of how colors appear when they come up from under a surface of complimentary moods and color tones."
